SUPER STEEL FOR SUPER KNIVES |

Erasteel High Speed Steels and ASP® powder-metallurgy steels are used to produce industrial knives for cutting wood, textile, paper, plastic, rubber, metals and other materials.
High Speed Steel has many advantages for these applications :
 a high wear resistance, due to a high hardness
an excellent toughness, giving good resistance to shocks and vibrations
a sharp edge and long life, which means optimum value for money
The optimum steel for knife applications is ASP 2053, which was developed to give longer life to knives, due to its
high content of vanadium carbides.
